At 1300SKYDIVE skydiving safety is our top priority. Like in any other extreme sport, there are risks involved in skydiving. However, it has become much safer over the last few decades, with advancements in technology, regulations and training. All our skydiving rigs are fitted with an automatic activation device (AAD). In the unlikely event that an instructor is unable to manually deploy the parachute, the AAD will trigger the reserve parachute automatically based on altitude and speed. Most skydiving accidents these days involve experienced skydivers making poor choices or performing risky manoeuvres close to the ground.
